A key aspect of the Downtime Accounting module is its ability to correlate stoppages and slow production periods with losses which represent the business impact of the incident. Khronos Insight is build on the latest HTML5 technologies, allowing seamless functionality on both desktop and mobile devices. Khronos Insight will automatically detect when it is running on a mobile device, and adjust its navigation to use a slide-in/out menu instead of a tree to save screen-space, and prompt uses when appropriate to use their onboard camera to take photos and inject them directly into data entry forms.
Mobility support is a key success factor in many industries due to the roaming nature of field operators and technicians on mine sites and pipelines. Being able to directly access key documents and drawings from their mobile device and enter data electronically while in the field helps increase time-in-field, and reduces response times to incidents. By pushing alerts out to field operators when new incidents occur or a scheduled task becomes due, the system keeps personnel focused on the highest priority tasks throughout their day.
Khronos Insight typically leverages onsite data sources to acquire data for modelling and analysis. This typically includes an Historian, Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS), Fleet Management Systems (FMS), Planning databases, Logistics databases, Targets & Forecast spreadsheets and other business systems. For mining operations, it can also ingest the Block Model to provide a rich repository of information about the material being hauled from the Pit to the processing facilities and automatically generate tonnage-weighted-grades on stockpiles based on the combination of haul fleet loads from the pit.
Khronos Insight leverages these various data sources to automatically process data in the context of a configured model. It inherently handles late-bound and non-chronological data such as LIMS which is typically only available hours after production has occurred, and correctly aligns timestamps with production based on sample methodologies and other criteria. This results in a coherent, intelligent, and up-to-date view of operations as soon as new data becomes available.
